My Father Staff Sgt. Joe Forman Served with the USAAF during WWII as an armorer gunner in the 5th Air Force, 345th Bomb Group, 501st Squadron. ( Later called the Air Apaches)

On the Day of this Motion Picture footage he shot down a Japanese Oscar Fighter on the way to Weewak, New Guinea winning the Air Medal and Bronze Star in the process.
He is the man working on the guns and also is pictured in other scenes from this 35mm Nitrate Motion PictureTransfer.
